Last month, the Proud Gallery in North London held an exhibition on Bill Hale's raw photography chronicling Metallica in the Bay Area during the early 80's. Hale captured perfectly their youthful energy in the photographs and 30 years later, the images convey the same bright attitude that goes along with the rise to rock and roll stardom as well as the band members' carefree humor.
